Plan for more than the minimum
A target of 12 leaves no room for someone using the wrong account, losing access, or opting out. TesterSwap shows confirmed, at-risk, and dropped states so you can respond before the roster fails.
The 14-day sequence
- Prepare a closed testing release
- Invite at least 12 eligible Google accounts
- Have every tester opt in
- Maintain the roster for 14 continuous days
- Apply for production access with evidence
Why “20 testers” still appears in search
Older guides and service names preserve the former threshold. Always verify the requirement shown in your own Play Console because account-specific eligibility and policy can change.
