Trust and safety

Policy safety and honest review exchange

Closed beta and live-app reviews are different products. Daily check-ins apply only to testing commitments; Review Swap is post-test, honest, untargeted, delayed, and never directly reciprocal.

Closed beta

Google Play closed testing and TestFlight commitments track access, device fit, proof, testing activity, feedback, and completion. They do not ask for a rating.

Review Swap for live apps

  • Only a confirmed tester with at least seven days of experience can be eligible.
  • The reviewer writes their own honest words and chooses any rating.
  • No templates, AI-written text, keyword requests, or minimum stars.
  • No direct reciprocal match for 180 days.
  • Per-app and per-reviewer velocity caps spread activity over time.

Residual policy risk

Store policies can treat incentivised review systems broadly, even when the incentive is equal for every honest outcome. Developers must explicitly acknowledge that risk per app, and TesterSwap can disable Review Swap by platform.

Does TesterSwap sell ratings or reviews?

No. Testing swaps and review credits are separate, and review credits cannot be bought, sold, or converted to testing swaps.

Are positive ratings required?

No. Reviewers use their own words and any star rating. Honest low-star reviews earn the same credit after confirmation.

Can two developers review each other directly?

No. Review Swap blocks direct reciprocity for 180 days and applies per-app and per-reviewer velocity limits.
