Troubleshooting
Google Play production access rejected
Answer from real testing evidence: engagement, feedback received, fixes made, and readiness for production.
Checked and updated August 2026
Fix it in this order
- Read the rejection email closely to see whether testing engagement or your questionnaire answers fell short.
- Rewrite each answer from what actually happened: how testers used the app, what feedback they gave, and what you changed because of it.
- If testers barely used the app, run another closed-test cycle with people who will exercise it before you reapply.
- Reapply only when you can point to specific changes that came from tester feedback.
What to capture
- The full text of the rejection email.
- Tester feedback with dates, and the release that addressed each item.
- Your previous questionnaire answers, so the new ones can be compared against them.
Avoid resets without evidence
Changing tracks, groups, and releases at the same time hides the actual cause. Resolve one failed boundary, verify it, then continue.
